Restore America’s Legacy – a group focused on protecting future generations – endorsed Reid Ribble’s campaign for Congress. RAL requires candidates to meet specific guidelines in order to receive their endorsement:

A career outside of politics

Candidates must support limited government, the Constitution, fiscal responsibility, free markets, and a strong national defense.

A mastery of the issues, rather than just talking points.

Must support term limits and pledge to serve less than 12 years in office.

Must have the organization and resources to compete in a general election

Must pledge to read the bill before voting for a bill, and stand for integrity and transparency in office.

“I am deeply encouraged to have Restore America’s Legacy’s endorsement. RAL has strict guidelines that candidates must meet, and I am honored to be the only candidate in the 8th district race to receive their endorsement,” said Ribble, in response to the announcement.

The Waupaca County Republican Party recently held a straw poll at the Waupaca County Fair. Over the four-day period, voters were allowed to select their favorite candidate in numerous Wisconsin races. In the 8th District Congressional race, Reid Ribble easily won the straw poll, earning 47 percent of the vote.

“I am incredibly grateful for the support I received from both the straw poll and the rest of the 8th district. More Than Both His Primary Opponents Combined

Eighth District Congressional Candidate Reid Ribble announced today that his campaign has raised $506,620 since he declared his candidacy for Congress. According to the latest FEC reports, Ribble has outraised both his primary opponents.

“This benchmark speaks volumes about the success of my campaign. 8th district voters have placed a lot of trust in me, and I do not intend on letting them down, “ Ribble stated.

Ribble is a former Kaukauna area roofing company owner who has created jobs and balanced budgets. He is running against Steve Kagen.

“Simply put, to defeat Steve Kagen, his Republican opponent will have to match his fundraising ability. I have far outraised all of my Republican primary opponents. It is clear that my business and community experience, as well as my message of fiscal responsibility and job creation, continues to resonate with Northeastern Wisconsin voters, “ Ribble concluded.

New attack confirms Ribble is the best candidate to take on Steve Kagen

Steve Kagen and his Washington allies are now attacking Reid Ribble. In today’s Green Bay Press-Gazette, a full-page advertisement was taken out attacking Ribble on job creation here in Wisconsin – accusing Ribble of supporting jobs being sent to other countries, like China and India. An ironic attack since Congressman Kagen’s vote in favor of cap and trade would do just that; cause Wisconsin’s manufacturers to flee elsewhere to escape job killing legislation.

“This is a ridiculous attack and it’s what Washington politicians do. When they feel vulnerable, when they feel their job might be in jeopardy, they attack the frontrunner. The fact of the matter is, Kagen and his Democratic allies know their policies haven’t worked, so they spread false allegations about me in an attempt to sway the primary election,” Ribble stated, in response to the Press-Gazette ad. “These efforts by Kagen’s allies to pick their own general election opponent are desperate and voters need to see these efforts for what they are.”

None of the claims made in the advertisement were cited or provide any type of evidence of truth. The fact of the matter is: Steve Kagen and his Democratic allies in Washington are attempting to divert the public’s attention away from their failed economic policies over the past two years. Kagen voted for economic “stimulus”, cap-and-trade legislation, and Obamacare – three votes that were vastly unpopular with 8th District constituents…and only make our economy worse.

The ad further criticizes Ribble for moving “green” jobs to China and India. In reality, Ribble’s companies, in the worst economic climate in a generation, actually created 7 new “green” jobs with solar cell roofing construction projects.

“Wisconsin residents are losing jobs because Washington has over-taxed and over-regulated businesses in this country. Washington has spent more money and created more economic uncertainty that employers simply don’t know what to expect, so they stop investing in capital and stop hiring,” Ribble added. “I want to go to Washington because I want to take my 30 years of private-sector, business experience and work to create a climate where businesses can put 15.2 million Americans back to work. Something Steve Kagen and his Democratic allies have failed to do.”

Ribble The Best Candidate to Take on Kagen
WTAQ debate underscores that fact

This morning, Reid Ribble participated in a debate with his primary opponents and showed why he is the best candidate to defeat Steve Kagen in the general election. Ribble highlighted his 30 years of business experience, his plans to create private sector jobs, and how to the secure our nation’s borders.

“Jobs are easily the number one issue. My experience in job creation is unmatched by my opponents and that’s the experience we need today in Washington – experience putting people back to work,” said Ribble, after the debate.

An American Action poll recently placed Ribble ahead of Steve Kagen by 10 points in a head-to-head election, underscoring why Ribble is the best candidate to take on Kagen this fall.

“When career politicians feel they are vulnerable, they start desperate attacks on the frontrunner. I’ve never been a politician. I am the only candidate in this race that’s never been on a ballot and never held a political office. I’m proud of that. We need that outsider’s perspective in Washington DC.”

The American Action Forum conducted a poll in the 8th district, measuring Steve Kagen against Reid Ribble among general election voters. If the election were held today, Reid Ribble wins 49 percent to 39 percent.

“These numbers underscore that my track record of job creation and arguments for fiscal responsibility continue to resonate with 8th District voters. The misguided policies pushed by Congressman Kagen have northeastern Wisconsin residents desperately seeking new leadership and a new vision for our future. In the coming weeks I will continue working hard to talk with voters and to share my vision. I firmly believe that working together, we can clean house in Washington this November,” stated Ribble.

The Ribble for Congress campaign’s second commercial begins airing today. Entitled, “Family Business,” the commercial discusses Ribble’s experience as a small business owner who has created jobs and balanced budgets.

“I have a proven record as a small business owner who’s created jobs and employed hundreds of northeastern Wisconsin workers over my 25 year career. This commercial speaks to that,” said Ribble. “As I have been traveling the district, I hear time and time again the voters’ desire for a leader with proven experience in creating jobs and solving real-world challenges – challenges that Washington never seems to fix. Well, I’ve never run for office; I’m not someone just looking to move up the political ladder. I’m a businessman who’s spent his entire adult life fighting government bureaucracy, red tape and restrictions, just like thousands of northeast Wisconsin families. I’m running to fight for them – to bring an outsider’s perspective to Washington DC.”

John Gard has endorsed Reid Ribble for Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District Republican nomination to challenge Steve Kagen this fall. Gard, a business owner, was the Republican nominee in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District in 2006 and 2008. He also served as Speaker of the State Assembly from 2003 until 2007.

“I believe Reid Ribble has demonstrated his ability to create jobs and meet budgets and he is the best candidate to unseat Steve Kagen. Kagen’s policies have burdened America with debt beyond our imagination and unemployment that has devastated many families in northeastern Wisconsin. It’s time for a new direction and Reid Ribble is the right person for the job,” stated Gard. Gard added, “Ribble is the one person in this race that can beat Steve Kagen and I believe this election comes down to a choice between the big government, more debt, higher taxes and high unemployment record of Steve Kagen and a smaller government, lower taxes, and vibrant job growth plan from conservative Reid Ribble.”

Ribble, a former small business owner, has raised the most money out of all his competitors.

“I am honored and truly humbled to have John’s endorsement. I will continue to work hard each and every day in this campaign to earn his vote and the vote of all residents in the 8th,” Ribble stated in response to the endorsement.
