Eighth Congressional candidate Reid Ribble announced today that he raised more than $52,000 in the last three months of 2009, bringing the total amount raised by his campaign for the year to more than $182,000, with available cash-on-hand to $115,000.
Ribble, a former Kaukauna roofing contractor, is a Republican running against Congressman Steve Kagen.
“I am grateful for the financial and political support I’ve received throughout Northeastern Wisconsin,” Ribble said. “Voters are concerned about runaway federal spending and the ballooning deficit and how these factors stifle job growth in our counties. They recognize that we cannot continue down the current path and that they need a new voice in Congress. People are sick and tired of ‘promises made, promises broken’ and they have been very receptive to my message and commonsense conservative vision for our future.”
Ribble noted that during the last quarter, he transferred the ownership of his business – The Ribble Group, which includes Security Roofing and Luebke Roofing – to the third generation of his family.
“This past quarter I spent a tremendous amount of time managing the sale of my business and was away from the campaign trail more than I would have liked,” Ribble said. “I’m excited to be a full-time candidate who can focus on the campaign and the need to have better representation in Washington.”
