NRCC’s Response to Ribble’s Run for Congress
The following is the National Republican Congressional Committee’s (NRCC) response to Reid Ribble’s candidacy announcement:
“Steve Kagen campaigned for a ‘fiscally responsible’ system in Washington, but he has done nothing but bolster a fiscally-irresponsible party led by Nancy Pelosi. Kagen’s vote for a trillion-dollar stimulus bill undoubtedly would have come back to haunt him, but Reid Ribble’s candidacy presents an even steeper uphill battle for a Kagen re-election.”

FLASHBACK – In 2006, Kagen Campaigned To Make the System “Fiscally Responsible”: “On Thursday, Democratic candidate Steve Kagen of Appleton unveiled his plan to tackle the federal deficit, help streamline the tax code, and attempt to make the system ‘fiscally responsible and fair.’” (Karen Lincoln Michel, “Gard, Kagen tax plans scrutinized,” Green Bay Press-Gazette, 09/25/06)
