A couple may write a check for up to $10,000 from a joint account (where both names are listed on the account) if the check is signed by both contributors. Federal multi-candidate PACs may contribute up to $5,000 for each election. Contributions from corporations, labor unions, federal government contractors, and foreign nationals (non-green-card holders) are prohibited.
